Join our Club

We encourage people to come out with us on an Introductory Hike before deciding whether or not to join.

Introductory Hikes are arranged from time to time for people who are thinking of joining.  The hike will cover a typical hike route, and will be led by some club members.

To get started, email the Secretary at wayfarersassociation@gmail.com to find out if an Introductory Hike is scheduled, and if there are spaces available on it.

Before you come on an Introductory Hike, read our guide for those new to hiking, in particular the section on what to wear and what not to wear.  We will ask you to fill in and sign a registration form at the start, for insurance purposes.

There’s no charge for an Introductory Hike, but if you then decide to join the club, you’ll need to pay your annual subscription.

Please note our walks and membership are open to over-18s only.

Individual €50

Affiliated €23 – to join as affiliate you must be a member and insured through an MI (Mountaineering Ireland) affiliated club.
